Start Your 14-Day Free Trial The Exercises 1. Standing Quad Stretch Why it works: Pulling the foot toward the glutes stretches the entire quadriceps. Hold a wall for balance and hold 20 seconds per side. JME 136 With your chin tucked to your chest, rotate your ankle inward. With your toes facing your other leg, lift your leg at your knee while keeping your chin tucked. 2. Kneeling Quad Stretch Why it works: The kneeling position creates a deeper stretch than standing. This reaches the rectus femoris that crosses both hip and knee. JME 137 With your toes rotated toward your other leg, lift your leg up at your knee. As you lift, tuck your chin. When you return your foot to the floor, untuck your chin. 3. Side Lying Quad Stretch Why it works: Lying on your side isolates the quad without balance requirements. This position allows longer, more relaxed holds. JME 139 Sitting in your chair, one leg at a time, lift your leg up to find your end range of motion. Once you can't lift it higher maintaining a 90 degree bend at your knee, return to the floor and do the other leg. How to Use This Routine Move slowly and controlled.
